From January 2004 to January 2005 I had the opportunity to work for the Millennium Seoul Hilton in the position of Food & Beverage Operations Manager.
I was responsible for the day-to-day operation, all expatriate communities in Korea and special events throughout the year. The hotel counts 683 bed rooms and the food & beverage department consists of 13 outlets and the largest convention center in Korea for up to 3,500. 395 staff member are serving 750,000 guest p.a. with an annual f&b turnover of USD 35 mill.

This landmark hotel, which is a flagship property of the Hilton company in Asia, is one of the most prestigious hotels not just within the Hilton chain. The massiv food & beverage department has the best reputation in Korea since fine food quality is perfectly well combined with an outstanding service level.
The Millennium Seoul Hilton is simply a home away from home for today´s discerning travellers.
- Guest interaction / satisfaction (responsible for German, Austrian, Dutch communities, chambers and business clubs)
- Special events (Christmas Train, Hilton Oktoberfest, Pudding Club, Wine & Cheese Club and many promotions)
- F&B financial duties (forecast, budgeting, reporting, P&L's)
- Day to day operation
- Generate exceptional high revenues due to close and professional contact to expatriate community
- Introduced and contracted new community clubs to the hotel (Dutch Business Club, European Chamber, German Chamber)
- Generate highest revenue for the annual Oktoberfest (200k USD) and Hilton Christmas Train (180k USD)
Due to the Fanchise Property I wanted and decided to move back to a Hilton managed property.
